A GENERATION HAS GONE MISSING.

The mind does not have a permanent north pole.
Our thoughts must keep it freedom, it must not be belong to political parties, a religion and ethnic groups if it must have the autonomy from our natural weaknesses and biases to investigate truth.
Only then can we think ourselves out of this mess that we are in as a country.

You cannot ask for a freedom you have not given to yourself,
and freedom is something we must first earn from the parliamentary debates in our heads . If the half uncooked arguments on social media and fact-starved propositions are a true representation of our collective intellect then we have lost a generation.
Little wonder that all our protests are now electronic, that is on social media, because we have not won the debates in our heads, we can summoned the critical thinking to even participate.

Ours is a country that is easiest to rule because majority draw conclusions from headlines, we make jokes out of everything and expect change as a birthday gift.
If indeed power belongs to the people why are we begging for protection from the attacks of herdsmen, does anyone have the monopoly of madness or the tools of violence, if logic has failed, can the majority not have their way? For even violence is a game of numbers.
But what will spur us when our mental equipment is too deficient to clearly tell us our position in the power equation?
We have dedicated our lives to narrating how our leaders have failed, we are so successful as historians of the failures of our forebears.
Each day our national headaches gives us the chance to become heroes but we would rather make comedy skits.

Politics is reactive, if they haven't reacted up till now it simply means we have not acted up till now. But in a modern world, the sword of logic and critical thinking are the only tools that will be accepted into the arena but before the gates of debates swing open, we must fight to live long enough to be heard.
