ULOG: DAY 7 JULY! UNITY IN DIVERSITY! EPISODE 7

After almost two hours of working on Caleb, the doctor came out looking exhausted and worn out. "Doctor, how is he?" The girl asked.

"He will be fine. He's a strong boy though, his vital organs were not affected by the knife."

"Oh thank God! So you are saying he will be fine?"

"Yea, his condition is almost stable. He looks familiar though, I just can't place the face. Are you related to him in anyway?"

"No sir I'm not. Infact, I just came in to town to see my sister, she's a serving corp member here. My parents just left so I had to stay in their hotel room. I was on my way there this morning when I saw a huge crowd, I moved closer only to find him lying almost dead in the trash."

The doctor, who by now was sweating profusely, had an aura of pity all over him.

"I wonder what's happening in this country of ours these days. The incessant killings are becoming so unbearable. That was how a young man brought a girl here two days ago, she had lost so much blood and he said he was going home to get her phone so as to call her parents but uptill now we haven't seen him. It was the same driver that dropped them, who then came back with some Rotarians, we ran some tests and we found a match good enough for her. This country needs serious prayers."

"We won't stop praying to Allah about it. I'm glad the girl is okay now, that shows that The Rotary Club are doing a good job. When do I get to see him?"

The doctor motioned to her to let him rest for a while before going in to him.

"Just get him something to eat, he will be very hungry when he wakes up."

Halima, as that was her name stepped out to the nearest supermarket to get things for Caleb, she also got him some new clothes.
She kept thinking in her head how handsome a boy Caleb is and why someone would want to terminate such a person.

After her shopping spree, she entered his room to meet him smiling as he conversed with the nurse.

"This is the Lady you should be thanking , she saved your life with the help of some students, she also paid your hospital bills. I will leave you two to yourselves."

The nurse left the room as Caleb thanked Halima for her kind gesture and prayed for God to bless her immensely.

"You are welcome, it's truly nothing, we should be our brother's keeper always and it would have been wrong to have left you in such a bad state."

She brought out the stuffs she bought for him and fed him since he was too weak to feed himself.

"So where were you going to that early, because the nurse said you guys brought me in very early in the morning?"

"It wasn't that early though, actually my parents came to see my sister and their visit was short-lived. According to them, they met my sister with a Christian guy and they really looked serious. So I came in yesterday on their orders to come and talk to my sister personally. I have been trying to reach her through her phone but to no avail. I don't know why my sister will want to settle down with a Christian, I was really mad when my parents told me. If I find that guy, I'm going to kill him myself, rubbish!! No sister of mine will leave our religion to be entangled with someone else. It's forbidden "

The food suddenly tasted like sour grapes in Caleb's mouth, he felt uneasy and uncomfortable.

He was hot all of a sudden and began to shiver at the same time.

Caleb fainted again as Halima rushed out to call the doctor.
