Inflatable Island is currently the biggest and wildest inflatable playground in ASIA and it is located in Subic and it's the first of its kind in the Philippines.
Summer is still here in the Philippines and we all want to have fun on the beach and escape the scorching heat in Manila. So that's why, me and my friend decided to go to Inflatable Island. The place is a beach plus water theme park combined into one awesome adventure playground.
We ride through a bus from Manila to Olongapo City because the Inflatable Island is located just 3 hours away from Manila.
It is a bouncy playground and it's almost the size of 8 basketball courts and it is loaded with playground-like obstacles like slides, swings and bouncy trampolines and all of these while floating above water!! Isn't it amazing right?
Inflatable Island PH is the first of its kind floating theme park set above the open sea in Subic Beach. This is the home for an array of inflatable obstacles, trampolines, and rides that are meant to bring out the kid in all of us and enjoy each and every moment you were there.
At first glance, the park is so challenging but don’t worry, the park is very safe even for kids and it's family-friendly so you don't have to worry about any casualties but safety is a must for everyone. Not to mention, they have around 20 or more lifeguards spread across the park.
You need to wear life jackets because the park itself is just a few steps away from the beach, but it extends further out into the ocean.
The park has tons of fun activities to offer and is home to a bunch of obstacles and not to mention the park itself is one big bouncy trampoline.
Whether your plan is to just lounge on the floaters or join your friends for an obstacle course battle, here are tips and tricks to maximize your visit:
Before the trip:
1. Buy tickets online.
It’s ₱100 cheaper if you reserve online instead of paying as a walk-in guest. Your ticket includes: all-day access to the beachfront, access to the parking area, entrance to the Bali-inspired cabana, use of shower rooms, and a scheduled time slot on the Inflatable Island.
2. Choose your time period.
There’s the whole-day pass (₱1,399), half-day pass (₱1,199), and two-hour pass (₱799).
3. Decide if you want to stay overnight or just go on a day trip to and from Manila (or wherever you’re from).
There are plenty of hotels, restaurants, tourist spots, and shopping districts around the Subic area.
4. Prep your battle gear.
Best attire for us girls is swimsuit under a rash guard and board shorts. But for boys, wear a rash guard and board shorts. It will keep you from getting sunburns, scratches, and other potential hazards.
There are no fixed routes in the park so you and your friends can go wherever you wanted to.
Aside from the water park, paying guest will also have access to the exclusive Bali-inspired lounge onshore.
The lounges serves as a resting place for guest’s who wants to take a break from all that jumping while lounging and drinking their fruit shake on a hot summer sun.
We enjoyed the place and had a satisfying day here. It reminded me of my childhood days when we used to play on water parks.
The place is perfect for a group of friends or families who want to stay away from busy roads and areas of Manila and someone who want to just enjoy their trip too.
It is also advisable to apply sunblock and wear rash guards or long sleeves to protect yourself from the harsh direct sun and salty water. Just look at my arm so you know it looks like hahahahaha
Best to go on a weekday to enjoy the inflatables more with a lesser crowd.
Tips:
- Keep your life vest on because the water here goes as deep as 4-15 feet.
- Don’t remove your wrist tag. It’s waterproof and color-coded to let the lifeguards know if your time is up.
How to Get There:
If you are a commuter:
Ride a Victory Liner bus (there’s one in Cubao) bound to Olongapo. From Olongapo terminal, take a jeepney outside and tell the driver to drop you at Inflatable Island/Samba Bluewater/Half Moon Resort or you can ride a bus bound to Iba, Zambales and asked the driver as well to drop you to Inflatable Island.
If you have a private vehicle:
From Manila, head to NLEX (North Luzon Expressway) to SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway). Take the Subic Bay Freeport Zone exit, and then take a right to Rizal Highway.Take a left at Burgos Street (beside Remy Field) and go right to Canal Road. Keep following this road until you reach Dewey Avenue Exit to Kalaklan Gate (way to Zambales). Turn left, and then keep straight for 2 to 3 minutes until you see the Samba Bluewater Resort (formerly Subic Halfmoon Beach) — and that’s it! You’ll find the Inflatable Island ticket stall and entrance inside.
*Parking is FREE but space is subject to availability (first-come-first-serve basis).
The park opens at 8:00AM and closes at 6:00PM.
