ULOG 14: CHILDHOOD RUINED AFTER WATCHING THE DOCU

in #ulog6 years ago

Been a huge fan of Chiong Sisters' case ever since I was around 6 or 7 years old, I cannot even count how many times i've heard of the story. From my mom, to my aunts.. and as I grew older, this story remains vivid in my memory that I searched and searched articles about it.
I read old news clippings, different articles from various persons and media outlets.. old videos, documentaries and such..

Growing up, I've known only one person they said was responsible for the crime.. Paco Larranaga.

Everyone pointed fingers at him. It was perfectly believable. When he was transferred to Spain and death penalty was abolished, I was really mad. I don't even want to see him in tv!! My young heart was in rage by the decision. When the film 'Give Up Tomorrow' was released, I knew it would be in favor of Paco so I didnt watch it.
Years after, now that there is a film that is about to be released in July 18 about the Chiong Sisters, I got excited. I watched the trailer and in the comment section I saw the link to film 'Give Up Tomorrow', now that I have aged and my mind matured a bit, I told myself I should give this a try, after all this is what I learned after studying BA Comm for 3 years, 'get both sides of the story'.

AND IM GLAD I DID. I DISCOVERED A LOT OF LOOPHOLES IN THIS CASE. THERE WAS TOO MUCH MANIPULATION. AND THE JUDGE KILLED HIMSELF??? THE POLICE CLAIMING HE WAS A FRIEND OF MR. CHIONG'S BOSS BUT CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER THE NAME? WHAT KIND OF A FRIEND ARE U THEN? THAT NBI OFFICER CAN'T REMEMBER SOME DETAILS? IMPOSSIBLE! THIS WAS BRANDED AS THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY. you can't just forget about this!

if this documentary tells all truth, then it's so just sad how money, power and media can easily ruin lives of innocent people and this just goes to show how dirty and inhumane the justice system in our country is!
