RE: Blockchain development has 'target fixation' issues

in #ungrip5 years ago

There are users on this blockchain that are saying loud and clear; flagging is violent, hurtful and demeaning. Users are saying clearly that other users are abusive and violent in their flagging, words and behaviours.

For anyone whining about downvotes - past, present, or future - there is nothing inherently “violent” about them. Whining incessantly about receiving a downvote, particularly one that had a negligible impact on your pending rewards, is actually more repulsive behavior than most of the “attacks” that may be found on this blockchain.

Nobody is entitled to pending rewards...it’s why they are PENDING. A downvote takes no money out of your pocket. It’s part of the consensus protocols. It is one of two votes that you can cast as a reflection of your subjective evaluation of content. If you interpret it as anything other than that, well...you’re an idiot, quite frankly.

Take the time to learn how the rewards system is designed before investing your time and/or money into this blockchain. If you’re not going to do that, then don’t bitch and moan and tell everyone that the system is somehow broken when something that ought to be completely expected and normal happens.

For the record: The person writing this post has been having a week-long fit over a sub-penny downvote that he received...and has made several $4+ posts from bitching about that one sub-penny downvote. He has fleeced many thousands of times more money from the rewards pool, mostly via auto-votes, by crying about this “violence” (“rape,” even!) that he has been a victim of.

It’s fucking disgustingly pathetic. Good riddance, I say. Nobody will miss you, as you can tell by the absolute lack of replies to your rage-quit post here.

Now go find your safe space where you can’t be raped and pillaged by internet words and downvotes.

Bye!
