RE: My response to a very common question: Where do I see Cryptocurrencies going in the future?

Perfect, even headed focus here. I think so many people are treating crypto as if it were the stock market. It's not, you aren't buying ,selling, hodling a piece of a company. It's a currency that should have a real world application. I think Steem is the first crypto that currently has a real world function and is way ahead of the others. It's by no means perfect, and if the community fails to grow it in the right direction, it can fail. But it's a great tool, like you say, to share knowledge, trade, and self organize. As more of us start using as a currency, there will be less need to transact with fiat, and more opportunities will arise.

I agree and I'm working on getting local community to start trading in it. However, the problem I see is that there is still a need for Canadian Dollars. I've run into that problem myself. More work needs to be done to increase the acceptance of the currency so that we don't have to keep converting it all the time. We can just use it the way it is already.

Yeah, as long as there is a need to convert to fiat, the full potential won’t be realized. I think we’ll get to that one day. There needs to be more tools created and a larger adoption rate and we’ll get there.
