Colorful Hoopoes birds can be found in Afro-Eurasia, this bird is famous for having a beautiful crown on its head. Hoopoes are widespread in Europe, Asia and North Africa. Most European and northern Asian birds migrate to the tropics in the winter. Hoopoes have proliferated widely in northern Europe and in southern England during the summer there are plenty of food available in the form of grasshoppers and insects. Hoopoes often sunbathe by spreading their wings and tails on the ground and enjoy bathing in dust and sand.
