I really like the way you think. Most parents would think if they let their kids just do whatever they want they will make a mess of everything, but If you have been rising your kid well and taught him anything he'll pretty well handle the "what's good / what's bad" choice and probably will feel ok about doing what "feels right" because it was his own choice.
