RE: Unschooling: A Basic Guide for Early Education (Prek-5th grade)

You have crafted a post of inestimable value to folks that love their kids enough to keep them safe from being indoctrinated, and enable them to determine themselves what they want in life, and whether or not they can get it.

Thanks!

Thanks @valued-customer! I like your point about keeping them "safe from being indoctrinated". I want my kids to believe in anything they choose, but blindly following anything (or anyone) in this world is always a horrible idea. My dad taught me never to let anyone, or anything, control my mind. That has kept me safe from controlling boyfriends, hard drug addiction, cult-like followings, and so much more. Sometimes it's frustrating to have kids ask so many questions but as long as it's not something they already know the answer to, I encourage them to question everything...even me. Of course, one of my children likes to prove me right by challenging things I tell them I know for sure. That's a fun game.
