Progress despite enthusiasm
Top of the Sunday morning to you, Fundition-ians,
This is an update to touch on a rather important topic: Motivation.
Specifically: staying motivated.
I don't know about you, but sometimes I find staying motivated to be rather challenging. Even with this project of mine: a documentary about traveling the world on 1 Bitcoin. It's an amazing topic and I have tons of great footage to wach and edit.
I enjoy working on it. But enjoying working on it is a bit different than being motivated to work on it.
The things that motivate me are: people acknowledging my project, being curious about it, showing somewhat of an interest in it. These types of actions by other people encourage me. They show me that people are curious and interested in seeing the documentary someday.
Unfortunately, I haven't been receiving much of this type of encouragement. Perhaps Steemit or Fundition are simply not big enough, with enough people, to provide a user base that finds these types of projects intriguing. Perhaps I'm simply not producing great updates or content.
These types of doubts, as you can see, circle my head. Like dementors haha.
So how do I get past them?
First of all, specifically with this Fundition project, it's by following the Fundition team. They have a good Discord channel. There's conversations there and other events. I also browse the various projects on Fundition. There are people here who are doing tremendous things. I find encouragement from following them, tipping them, and generally exploring what they're doing.
We humans tend to be tribal, right. Find our tribe, that sort of thing. Fundition is sort of a tribe. A tribe of people working on their passions. It's good to mix and mingle with them.
Try it out.
keep on rawking buddy ! think of it as you have a lot of silent fans anticipating your videos. I'll surely give you a highlight in my next meetup . Keep on updating and looking forward in your previews of the documentary ... i'll surely help out in spreading it out to the communities i'm involved in.
Thanks, amigo :) I suppose I don't take into account the silent majority of good support out there. Hope I can deliver quality content!
