Traveling to Destin, Florida

Last March, I went on a trip to Destin, Florida and rented a town home on the shore of Okaloosa Island. I found out that this place has many different "hole in the wall' restaurants, many activities/events, and an amazing beach!

One of the most convenient and tasty parts about the vacation were the two restaraunts Right outside of our complex. One was called "Helen Back" and the other "Asiago's Skillet".

Helen back. Had a great selection of drinks and food. Sports was on the tvs and they had two different bars. One bar was outside next to their dock and the other was in the center of the building. They had games like pool, arcade and darts! My favorite dishes were their pizzas and nachos!

Asiago's was a great breakfast place. Though the hours were weird, they had amazing "hangover" food. Bloody Mary bar and a dining area by a colorful stream inside. They built a cool water feature to make you feel like you were at a beach inside! Country Fried Steak is my recommendation!

Margaritaville is in the coolest plaza by the shore, across the bridge from where we were staying in Fort Walton, Destin. You can buy margaritas and take them around the plaza with you. They have the coolest shops and small restaurants there! They have laser tag, virtual reality and just right across the street there is a huge outdoor obstacle course!

The beaches... The beaches are the best part. One of the best beaches to go to in America. White sand and clear water. Last time i went i paddle-boarded out far from shore and watched dolphins follow us as we paddled away from shore! It rarely gets crowded at this place! It is a must go!
