RE: UPVOTING MANUAL - AND WHERE TO FIND YOUR UPVOTING POWER

in #upvoting7 years ago

Hey LuckyDigger. The first half hour is tricky and not as you've described.
Originally, curation rewards were for being early to upvote content which went on to be popular. The problem was that people had bots set up to upvote posts from popular authors immediately.
This left no time for human curators to read the content. To combat this, the rules were changed, now if you vote in the first half hour any curation reward you get is divided between you and the author.
If you voted in the first minute, the author gets 97% of your reward, after ten minutes he gets 66% and after 20 mins he gets 33%.
Its broken down minute by minute.

Thank you for commenting. I will edit and hope that is alright with you. Thank you again, my good friend.

Please check in the parent text, can we leave it like that? OK?

You're welcome to keep it like that, although your text is still incorrect.
At 15 mins any curation reward is split evenly between author and upvoter.

Can we leave it like is now? Please forgive me buddy. I had researched erroneous steemit posts.

It's your post, mate :)
Good luck. Hope you do well.

Just want this information to be right. Nothing worse than distributing incorrect crap!
