The Mottled Wood Owl
This Mottled Wood Owl was found hanging and entangled on a wire inside Yeoor Range of Sanjay Gandhi National Park which was removed down by the locals and the staff of Yeoor Range after which it was handed over to us for further treatment and care.
The bird was critically injured and had broken its wing, it was safely rescued and given basic first aid and allowed to stabilize for a while after which it was taken to Dr. Rina for treatment.
After an initial treatment it was allowed to rest and kept under observation which was followed by a complex surgery next day which was successfully done.
The owl is still critical but better than before kept under observation for further treatment and recovery.
Chances of the bird flying back to wild are less due to the complex wing injury it has suffered however we are hoping for the best.
