This is a fantastic post. Well written and illustrated, and promoting a terrific project.
My only comment is that it would have been nice to mention the project's open source repository. We're always happiest when open source is explicitly mentioned, as we like to promote both open source projects and the idea of open source software. A project as lovely as this having an open source front end is a great thing.

Thank you @didic! You're absolutely right, we need to be better referencing all the elements at play here. One thing we're looking to develop are more opportunities for Steemian artists to take part in illustrating our articles. I guess this isn't "open source" in the traditional sense - but perhaps there's something there the process of crowdsourcing artwork is a community endeavor.
