RE: Helm Software Synth - Amplitude Envelope - ADSR

in #utopian-io7 years ago

It is completely and totally absurd how much time and money I've invested in eurorack enveloped generators SPECIFICALLY because of how critical they are and how the little quirks of each one differentiate them from each other. For my money the Make Noise Maths is the undisputed most versatile and expressive envelope generator I've used ... it's entirely of the Buchla school of thought and has all sorts of interesting generative functions ... like triggering a gate at the end of the first envelope and self patching it into an entirely different envelope on the other side ... then gives you a million ways to combine the sum or inverse of these two envelopes into a wholly complex modulation you'd never just imagine in your head. I am damn envelope generator crazy at this point ... I think I have ten channels? And only half are traditional ADSRs? Woof.

Very cool @drumoperator. I can see where one would get consumed by this tech. I can spend days tweaking. I have invested in the Eurorack gear, but I have had my creditcard in hand on several occasions. Perhaps one of these days.

You and I need to figure out how we can get some of your music with the Eurorack in on some of our Steemit collaborations. There is great music being created all the time in here. I bet @stickchumpion or @vachemorte would have some cool ideas.

I'd love to see some posts from you on your set up and your music. I LOVE your introduction post! One of the best I've seen :)

Cheers
