in #utopian-io6 years ago (edited)

Introduction

Good day,

It is not a new problem to us when we hear about someone losing access to his steemit account due to loss of his generated password. It is quite tragic for someone who has worked hard and invested in the community to earn a good reputation and in the end, loses access to his account due to loss of password. So in this tutorial, i am going to talk about Anonsteem how you can open a steemit account within minutes and also recover your account password should you lose it.

What you will learn

  • You will learn how to create a steemit account using Anonsteem
  • You will learn how to recover your steemit account opened with Anonsteem incase of loss of password or hacking.

Requirements

  • Access to 5 Steem or 0.1 Litecoin or 0.0025 Btc
  • A laptop or smartphone with internet connection

Tutorial Content

First off lets get acquainted with Anonsteem.

What is Anonsteem?

AnonSteem is a service which allows you to purchase an account to use on the Steem network (e.g. Steemit, Busy, DTube). Unlike the Steemit website, it does not require a phone number, and accounts are created within minutes of receiving the payment.

AnonSteem is one of the most popular and well trusted account creation services on Steem, responsible for over 4000 accounts on the network.

Opening a Steemit account with AnonSteem takes at most 5 minutes as long as you pay the required fee.

How to open a Steemit account with AnonSteem

Follow the steps below to open a steemit account using Anonsteem

  • Go to https://anon.steem.network
  • Fill in your desired steemit username and click on the 5 Steem payment option (if that is your preferred) and select 'Buy Now'
  • You will then be given the exact instructions for making payment which you must follow accordingly as shown below

  • When your payment is confirmed, you will then be notified that the account has been created and you will be given the generated password for the account.

How to recover stolen or lost accounts

  • You will be taken to the page in which the instructions for your account recovery will be given.

  • To recover your account, you will need to provide the following piece of information:

  • The last password and/or owner private key (beginning with 5, not STM) used for your account prior to compromise

  • Your account username, for example @eddy2cul

  • One item from Category 1, or as much as possible from Category 2 which I will talk about below.

In the page there are two categories in which you can recover your account. These categories are the information you can provide which will help in the recovery of your account

Category 1

  • Provide a verification photo showing your account name, "anonsteem", and the current date on a piece of paper. The photo must be of something clearly visible on your account blog - send us the link to the post showing**

the previous photo/video, this could be a photo of yourself, a pet, or of a unique object in your house which you have shown on your blog.

  • If you paid for your account using STEEM from a standard steemit account (not an exchange), you may supply the above verification photo for the payee account (For example, if you used your personal account to purchase an account for a bot, community/company account etc.), as long as there is a clear relation between the two accounts (e.g. we will not accept verification from your friend who created your account, unless it is absolutely clear that this is authorized by the original account holder).

Category 2 (PROVIDE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FOR FASTER RECOVERY)

  • Your AnonSteem order ID, or the memo/address used to pay for the account
  • Verification from other friends on Steemit that you are legitimate, and/or from highly trusted individuals such as witnesses in the top 20 ranks.
  • Any other information that you think would assist in verifying that you are the owner of the account.

Once you have obtained the required evidence, please send it to anonsteem@someguy123.com making 'Account Recovery' as the email subject (VERY IMPORTANT). You will then be contacted on the outcome of the recovery via email.

[NOTE]

Your account cannot be recovered if:

  • You do not have a previous password or owner private key. Please do not contact us if you do not have a previous password, as we cannot help you.
  • If your account was compromised more than 30 days ago, we are unable to recover your account. The recovery process is blocked after 30 days from changing account keys.

Thanks for reading
