Steemgigs is an online platform thats similar to Fiverr on Steemit where people sell their services and have fellow Steemit users buy or pay for these services. The services posted by users on the Steemgigs platform are called "gigs". In this tutorial I'll be explaining how to post a service or post a gig on Steemgigs.

First visit the Steemgigs website and click on the log in button

Sign in with your Steemit username and password

sgo 2.PNG

It will take you to the Steemgigs website interface

sgo 3.PNG

Click on the create button to start the process of posting a gig on Steemgigs

sgo 4.PNG

In the Gig Title section, input a catchy title describing briefly the service you intend to offer. The more your title can convert the better as it will result in people clicking, viewing and eventually patronising your service. Also select the appropriate categories and tags for your gigs. Click the 'save and proceed' button to proceed to the next section.

sgo 5.PNG

In the description section, clearly describe in details the service you intend to offer and why they should choose you for the job instead of other freelancers offering the same service on the website. Here you can include links to your previous works or testimonials by previous clients and also include possible FAQs or answers to questions your potential customer might likely ask you.

Note that your description has to be a minimum of 100 characters; click on the 'save and proceed' button to move to the next section.

sgo 6.PNG

In the pricing section, select the time it will take you to complete the job; either in hours or days.
Choose your price or the currency you intend to be paid in; either in Steem, SBD or Steem Power. Below are additional information you can include in this section:

  • Give your PACKAGE an appealing name.

  • Describe what will be contained in your package for each price.

  • Tell us if you are willing to do revisions. If so, "how many revisions?"; "will it cost extra?" etc

  • Can you render more "speed of delivery", if offered extra payment?

  • Are there aspects of your GIG that you are willing to offering lovingly for free etc?

Click on the 'save and proceed' button to move to the next section.

sgo 7.PNG

In the requirements section, you're required to explain what you would want your clients to provide you with, to help you proceed with your work/ gig; for example, if your gig is SEO-related, you may want them to drop "the URL of their website or if your gig is "video-editing", you may require them to drop you "video files" etc. Also inform them if your "requirements" are optional or compulsory for the project. Your required to input a minimum of 30 characters here; click on the 'save and proceed' button to proceed to the next section.

sgo 8.PNG

In the 'portfolio' section, your required to upload media files (images, videos, etc.) which are samples of your previous projects and any other additional media file that gives more detail to the service your offering; your required to upload at least one image file here.

Also select how you want to be rewarded on the Steem blockchain for your post; either 100% Steem Power or 50% Steem Power and 50% SBD; you can also choose to decline payout too. Click on the 'save and proceed' button to proceed to the final section.

sgo 9.PNG

In the 'Publish' section, review all the information you've entered and make sure they're correct and appropriate and click on the 'publish ' button to publish your information.

If your post was successful, you'll see a message 'Successfully Pushed to Steem' below the 'back' and 'post #steemgig' button just like the one below.

Congratulations; you've successfully learnt how to post a gig on Steemgigs.

Hey @amosbastian, I just gave you a tip for your hard work on moderation. Upvote this comment to support the utopian moderators and increase your future rewards!

I am bookmarking this bro. I need to grasp that site. The initiative is really promising. Terry is a genuis. Fiver is in trouble.

Hey holy, i really need to get you to another level, now that you're coming to rep 50.

understand this, and understand this well, "Upvote Talks, and Bullshit Walks", I'm in support of your skills, story telling, and your comedic talents.....however to get serious followers and taking yourself to the next level, you got to show some identifiable talk. You gotta upvote, every post you like, or any post you comment it, unless you strongly disagree with the message.....upvote it, every reply...if you even agree and didn't reply, or it provokes you to respond....upvote it.

besides at a lower VP now, under 500SP, you should upvote abundantly....makes almost no difference to your voting power at low 100-200SP......small investment....your benefit in return....followers....attention.....and curiosity.....is large! if you wanna see how it's done go see this guy @foles09 (his account was created dec, but he left it dormant and just started really 4&half weeks ago....he's at 44%, you're at 95%....you should be at least at 60-70% with the number of comments you make), he doesn't have some of the written talent you have, but he sure knows how to speak with his upvote...it's just a small tip, but for you, it's going to make an impact.

listen to you sensei...you won't regret it....now go upvote this post.

Well, Sensei, I am really glad you took out time to dish me this advice. And you bet I'd heed! Wouldn't have guessed upvotes play such a role. But now I think about it, it really makes sense! Thanks so much!

go read this...and absorb the deep wisdom beyond the absurdity How To Win In Steem

That was bomb! Gracias!

you're part of our little funny community now holy, we need to raise each other's game....put it into practice, lots of golden nuggets of treasure for you to come up with hundreds of creative ways to apply it

btw. Where your @comedyopenmic entry? Sensei is waiting

This is embarrassing really. Haven't grasped, nay, gone through it enough to understand what's about. My next homework is therefore pretty obvious.

make a original funny post, tag it #comedyopenmic, nominate 2 other follower to join COM

excellent knowledge and tutorial. This is epic.

thank you; am glad its of use to you.

Gonna sing a song for @steemgigs, check my blog

looking forward to it
