A new logo for Growstuff

Hello,

this is a new logo I created for Groswtuff, which is an open source for gardeners and all people who like to grow their own food. You can share there tips and informations about harvest, seeds, plants and so on. I think it is a great project, but their logo would need some change.

Details

First I made some sketches. I also searched for some inspiration. The project is about plants, so the best color for it is green. I like natural shades of green, which are more into yellow or brown and have warm feeling. I also wanted to use the name "Growstuff" somehow, so I was trying to put "G" into the logo and in a best case also S.

I prefer round shapes and simple symbol, which can easily work in a small size too. So after sketching I started to draw some of my ideas in Corel Draw.

I realised it would be nicer to have the shape G here, but rounder and more natural. Also the double f can be connected, so it would look much better and also symbolize the comunity.

I started to search for some nice font.

Then I made more variants.

Benefits / Improvements

The previous logo is very stylishand. I made a logo which is modern, responsive, can be used in black and white variant, works also in a small size and does match with the style of the website.
