Hello,in these tutorials i am going to show you all of the constellations and tell them what they are all about and what they host inside.In this tutorial we are going to take a glance at "Capricornus constellation".

Capricornus constellation means "the goat" in latina.It is also half goat half fish in Greek mythology.Capricornus is one of the 12 zodiac constellations.Zodiac constellations are constellations that lie along the plane of the ecliptic.
The ecliptic, or the apparent path of the Sun, is defined by the circular path of the Sun across the sky, as seen from Earth. Capricornus constellation is also located in the southern sky.

Capricornus belongs to the Zodiac family of constellations and it is the 40.biggest constellation in sky.Capricornus can be seen at latitudes between +60° and -90°.

The brightest star in the constellation is Deneb Algedi as you can see below.Deneb Algedi is located at queue of the symbol.For Deneb Algedi exact location is 21h 47m 02.29 and -16d 07` 35.6 .Deneb Algedi is 38.56 light years away from Earth.Which is 364.777.600.000.000 Km.

Capricornus has 9 members in it.As we defined first member Deneb Algedi,let's get to know other members.

Nashira

Nashira is the second member of Capricornus.Which is located northwest of Deneb Algedi.

Nashira is a blue-white A-type giant, approximately 139 light years distant.It has a 3.65 magnitude.It also knows as "Gamma Capricorni".You can see the exact location at above.

Yen

Yen is known as ζ Capricorni (Zeta Capricorni).It has a exact 4.25 magnitude.It is a double star composed of a yellow G-type supergiant and a white dwarf. It is 398 light years away from the Earth.

Dorsum – θ Capricorni (Theta Capricorni)

Dorsum is located in the middle of the symbol.It has a 4.05 magnitude.It's white a-type main squence dwarf.It is around 157 light years away from us.

Baten Algiedi – ω Capricorni (Omega Capricorni)

Baten Algiedi is a star type which has a 4.10 magnitude.It's M-type red giant star.It's 842.78 light year away from the Earth!

ψ Capricorni (Psi Capricorni)

Psi Capricorni is a yellow-white giant categoried.It has a 4.10 magnitude and it is 47.87 light year away from the Earth.It has 6.632k surface temperature...The measured rotational velocity of this star is approximately 41 km/s.

Dabih – β Capricorni (Beta Capricorni)

Beta Capricorni is the second brightest star in Capricornus.It means "Butcher" in Arabic.Dabih is not a single star like it's neighbors.It is a system.Beta Capricorni is a binary star, with components designated Beta Capricorni B and Beta Capricorni C.It's 344.05 light year away from Earth.

Algiedi – α Capricorni (Alpha Capricorni)

Algiedi is an optical binary star.It has a 3.55 magnitude and 105.83 light year away from Earth.It has two stars named Prima Giedi and Secunda Giedi.

Prima Giedi is a double star and it is a yellow G-type supergiant.Secunda Giedi is also a is a yellow G-type giant.686.65 light year away from us.
