RE: How can I get my private active key?

in #utopian-io7 years ago (edited)

Thanks for your concern Winarobert.
what really happen was i logged in with the master password i was given when i sign up steemit. i was fine transfering but when i changed my phone i tried logging in with that same master password it was showing incorrect password then i log out , and logged in with my private posting key. The private posting password has been working for every other thing except transferring SBD. Instead it's showing me that that is not my valid active key. I was told i need to log in with my private active key to confirm the transfer and i don't know how to access my private active key.
all i found in my permission is public active key.

I need help on how to access my private active password. Is that impossible?
maybe i should just open onother account
am really tired of this

Try going to your wallet, you'll see a tab there labelled permissions, it should contain everything you are looking for...

my wallet is not showing my private active password which i need but public active password. That is the problem i have

Did you locate the permission tab I mentioned. If you did and still can't find your private key, then you must log in with your master key for you to access all your keys.

Yes I did but all keys there are public keys. Will need the master private key to log in. How do I get the master private key?
Thanks for your time finding solution to my problem

Well last time i checked, your master key can not be recovered if you misplaced it. Steemit doesnt do password recovery, so you might just have to find it.

And if I can't find it means nothing I can do?
My bad!
