Exploring the Blockchain Ecosystem [New Ideas for Decentralized Applications]
Oh, the Places You'll Go...
Over the next few weeks, our community will be sharing a series of in-depth blockchain investigations. As part of our incubator program we've asked Cohort 2 of Sndbox to dive into the cryptocurrency world beyond Steemit.com and discover or even imagine their own decentralized applications.
The applications being showcased here are (of course) predominantly those build on Steem, but not limited to a single ecosystem. We've encouraged everyone to explore project forums like Steem Projects as they uncover precedents and imagine what their own app might one day look like. In an effort to be agnostic and educational we've also encouraged our community to explore the differences of apps powered by Bitcoin, Ethereum, NEO, etc.
Our hope with this series is to cultivate a more comprehensive understanding of blockchains, what they support, what they can't support and dig into the differences between them. We're excited to kick off this educational and exploratory series and hope that you will join us!
Join Us - Become A #DAppExplorer
With this exercise, we're asking you to explore new tools and applications built within the blockchain ecosystem. Steem is a cryptocurrency used by dozens of apps, "Steemit.com" being just one of many. Today we're asking you to take a leap of faith and dive into the blockchain beyond, explore and use 1 app beyond Steemit.
Here are a few options and angles to take on your journey -
• Option A : Explore an existing blockchain application built on Steem, Ethereum, Bitcoin etc. Create an article showcasing your experience on this app and how it might impact your trade / practice / profession. For example, if I'm a filmmaker exploring DTube, how might this app impact my industry?
• Option B : Create an overview on an upcoming blockchain application that is expected to impact your trade / practice / profession. It doesn't have to "exist" just yet.
• Option C : Create a proposal for your own App! Develop a mockup of a Decentralized Application catered towards your own trade / practice / profession. What might that look like? How would it work?

Looking forward to seeing what the wider audience come up with!
Option D: bash a dapp that disappointed :D ? oh wait.... @heimindanger already did that... oh well, back to the drawing board
Heimindanger is often super critical, undoubtedly, even as a year-long fan of his works, I'm annoyed, but be honest: DLive deserved it.
That shit was unethical at best.

It's strange I didn't hear anything critical about dlive before the drama started. Or maybe it didn't reach me?
Haha, well that's actually option A or maybe B in the case of DLive / Lino! That this series should open up a critical discussion about the pros and cons of different blockchains. Pretty wild week!
Excited to see the different posts from cohort 2 on the sndbox blog! And of course my own up in lights as well :-) Just call me Scott the #dappexplorer
I really enjoyed the process for this months task @sndbox
