Busan Meetup VS Toronto Meetup VS Israeli Meetup VS Ibadan Meetup - Which One Wins The GLOBAL MEETUP OF THE WEEK?!
Steemit is everywhere. Truly global. Socializing different people from different parts of the world (origin) together and hence inspiring us on how to live together as one with no room for racism or hatred. It has shown the unmatched power of social media and it's why no one dares to argue when we say it is truly the future of social media. Steemit is still in its early days and we must feel honored and lucky to be among its early adoptors.

It has been a remarkable week filled with unforgettable exhilaration and anecdotes. One surprising fact about this week is that many of the big Meetups held happened to be the first to have been held on their soils. Among these are The First Global Steemit Meetup in Busan, Korea, The First Steemit Meetup in Toronto, Canada and Israelis First Steemit Meetup held in Kfar-Saba, Israel.
However, there are some other Meetup events that didn't happen to be the first time events, such as Steemup Ibadan in Nigeria and Steemup Kwara also in Nigeria. How about we take a look at these greatest Steemit Meetups of the week and probably we choose the best one among them. Let's get on it guys.
First Global Meetup, Busan - Korea
The first ever global Steemit Meetup on Korea soil took place in Busan last Sunday, February 18th, 2018. The event was hosted by @ramengirl, a Korean blogger who blogs about Korean/Japanese cultures and recipes. This meetup is remarkable not just because it's the first global meetup to have taken place on Korea soil but also because of the exhilarating events that defined the show. It was graced with @ramengirl, @shogo, @karensuestudios, @threebagsfull, @acromott, @successtrainer, @mattchoi, @angrycypto among other great minds. According to reports, over 20 great Steemians (most whales) from different countries met at this Meetup and this makes it one of the best Steemit Meetup to have taken place this week. Steemit brings us together from different part of the world after all.

First Steemit Toronto Meetup, Canada
The first ever Steemit Meetup in the city of Toronto, Canada took place on Sunday, February 18th, 2018 and was lit. It was a reputable one filled with unforgettable hilarity and interesting events. I agree that @steembirds sure knows how to throw a party. One strange but interesting thing about this event is that all the steemians that showed up at this meetup are artists: musicians, digital and physical art; film. They made it so lively that you wouldn't want to leave this place. This meetup is credited to @nxtblg, @brian-rhodes, @steembirds, @dan-atstarlite, @jaybird, @bleedpoet, @lillym, @ozwald, @mrfibonacci, @topfox and @montinaart. Steemians gathered to create one unforgettable great evening on Canadian soil for the first time.

Everybody wins for coming together and showing love for the Steemit community. It's not a competition -- it's a collaboration.
Oh buddy you got it all wrong. But it's okay.
Contests are held here and there, does it mean those contests are meant to create competition and probably rivalry? Hell no! This platform is giving us more than we'd imagine and everyone is just trying to do all we can to grow it. This is meant to give analysis about the top meetups of the week and of course, readers are requested to drop their opinions by naming which one they think is the greatest.
Please do see things right. We're one in this great community.
Thanks for mentioning the Steemit Toronto meeting. It really was a great time!
The pleasure is mine.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by

I had an amazing time at the Toronto Meetup thanks to the wonderful people who showed up! It looks like these are going to become a monthly thing and I am excited to see them grow in size (and I know they will). That said the Toronto Meetup was pretty "lit" but "NIGERIA IS BURNING IT UP" Look at all those people! I have already seen some really great content coming out the region and Steemit has so much to offer people outside of the western world - there are areas in the world where this technology will actually increase the quality of peoples lives, not just add numbers to a screen.
Thanks for including the Toronto Steemit Meetup and thank you for this post.
Keep Steemin'
@ozwald
Well said @ozwald.
Toronto was lit. Nigeria was awesome. Same as other steemit Meetups across the globe. This community is growing everyday everywhere and more people join every blessed day. Steemit is changing lives and it is God-sent, to ease the sufferings of humans. With steemit, youths especially here in Nigeria have no excuse for being poor again. We owe this platform and we're gonna do our best to see it grow more and more.
I saw your message on the Toronto channel where you shared this post. It's so humbling and I must say I appreciate that more than I can explain. Thanks so much and God bless.
happy steem!
Thanks for the mention! Looks like Nigeria had a much more impressive turnout. Just one comment: why was this submitted to Utopian? It has nothing to do with open source development.
Thanks for checking by and sharing your opinions. And about submitting this post to Utopian, I've recently discovered that some Steemit promotional posts could be submitted to Utopian-io. So I'm looking forward to their response on this. If it's not allowed, then there won't be a need to submit my next post there.
Really really appreciate your comment.
Since I am helping Utopian with clarifying the rules, I can easily explain.
The only category that deals with promotional posts is "Visibility". The purpose of that category is to increase online exposure of open source projects. You need PROOF of over 10,000 online viewers for your PAID campaign.
So for example, if you run a Twitter ad campaign in your region for Steemit or Utopian - you'll get the reward.
Why no upvote - Honestly? This is the second post you made about the meetups and submitted to Utopian. I know the rules on the website aren't very clear right now, but with your previous submission rejected, basically reposting the same content (with pictures) is simply wasting the moderator's time. Read the rules. If something is unclear, ask me or a moderator.
This is a steemit post. Not an open source contribution.
You've just shed light on this for me and I must commend you for that.
I really appreciate this way beyond I can explain. Thanks a bunch.
I know there is a problem with the clarity of Utopian rules and I've been working very very hard these past few weeks on collaborating with the moderators on a better depiction of submission rules.
If I wanted to, I could submit THAT as a copywriting contribution. I don't. I am not lacking ideas for posts, and I rather spend my time re-working other important documentation for utopian than publishing proof of work.
My tip on making money on utopian? Tasks. See tasks. Complete tasks. Get paid by task creator and utopian. WIN.
Wow! Cool.
You surely deserve an award for your kindness and friendliness. Despite my low reputation, you take your time in replying my comments. Thanks do much for being like this.
Bless up, steem up!
@techslut is a nice person
Steemup Ibadan, Nigeria.

Thanks a bunch, bruh!
I'm glad you dropped your opinion and at the same time gave me some encouragement.
Regards and happy steem!
