I sway more towards the non vaccinate camp nowadays, even though i work in science/aquaculture and use vaccination regularly in my fish! I 100% agree with your end statement that better treatment needs to be available to specific cases rather than going down the mandatory vaccination route. Also better quality of food, better general health and wellbeing, less stress, less chemicals in the environment could also help to make vaccination un-neccessary - healthy people/ animals can fight off a lot of bugs without medical intervention.
