Help Stop The Juul and Vaping Epidemic.

in #vape6 years ago (edited)

Too many young adults are being exposed to nicotine and vaping early in their lives. I am a 20 year old student and have experienced this epidemic as I have grown up. I became addicted to nicotine at a young age during my middle school and high school days but after 7 years of using it, I was able to completely quit. The problem with all this is that kids will be kids but smoking cigarettes is much different than picking up a vape that does not smell or can be used anywhere secretly. It is so much easier to have access to these vapes and kids are exposed too much to them. I wanted to write a post because when I first started to vape, the nicotine levels were much lower than they are now. Specifically, the Juul vape is disturbingly high in nicotine and kids are using them like nothing. They contain 50 MG of nicotine and that is unheard of. The average cigarette has 18 MG equivalents. One Juul pod is equivalent to one pack of cigarettes and in most cases kids are using at least one pod per day of 50 MG. My goal of this post is to make parents and even young people aware that this is just about getting people addicted to a drug at a young age and keeping a customer for the future. Please learn the affects and listen to others when they tell you vaping is bad. To parents, Help your children!
Thank you. !

Agreed, these things are like a ball and chain...

Once you're on them it takes some real will power to get off them - especially because they taste amazing and don't have the negative sensory effects that cigarettes do (smelly clothes, stinky breath).

I used an ecig for almost a decade and would highly recommend you listen to @brilliantblock and stay away from the Juuls!
