What is Tumblr or aesthetic photography?

Since 2015 or before we have seen many photographs of this style in many people, more than anything, young people between 14, 15, 16, among others.

But what do you want to convey with these photographs?

Most are grid backgrounds, with scandalous and dark tones. Graded with phrases, some with reflexive phrases or with a depressive aspect.

What is aesthetic?

Particularly there may be the aesthetics of muscular bodies and well formed, but there is also the aesthetics of life, or rather, the Tumblr.

The definition of aesthetics by default is: Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy that explores the nature of art, beauty and taste, with the creation and appreciation of beauty.

Most of these Tumblr photos have a look like the 90's but this would already be a little Vaporwave (and I'll explain what it is).
The aesthetic looks vintage, but already this would be a little more like 2012. The current Tumblr aesthetics are: brightness, red spots, fantasy hair color, droopy eyelids and alternative rock, indie or vaporwave.

What is Vaporwave?

Vaporwave is the aesthetics of the 90's, a bit similar to Tumblr but is a little bit older, example:

• Grids

• Gradients with strong colors

• Arial, italic and bold letters

• Greek sculptures

• And most important, slow music like 420 Macintosh, among other features.

The Vaporwave is a musical genre that emerged in early 2010 from mixing indie dance genres such as seapunk, witch house and chillwave with styles from other decades, mainly from the late 70's and 80's (such as funk or New Age).

The Vaporwave is a genre a little dark and occult, something like the witch house.

¿Qué es la fotografía Tumblr o estética?

Desde 2015 o antes hemos visto muchas fotografías de este estilo en muchas personas, más que todo, jóvenes entre 14, 15, 16, entre otros.

Pero, ¿qué quieren transmitir con estas fotografías?

La mayoría son fondos grid, con tonos escandalosos y oscuros. Degradados con frases, algunos con frases reflexivas o con un aspecto depresivo.

¿Qué es la estética?

Particularmente puede existir la estética de los cuerpos musculosos y bien formados, pero también está la estética de la vida, o más bien, de lo Tumblr.

La definición de estética por defecto es: La estética es una rama de la filosofía que explora la naturaleza del arte, la belleza y el gusto, con la creación y la apreciación de la belleza. La mayoría de estas fotos Tumblr tienen un aspecto como de los 90’s pero esto ya sería un poco Vaporwave (ya te explicaré lo que es).

Lo estético tiene un aspecto vintage, pero ya esto sería un poco más como 2012.

La estética Tumblr actual son: brillos, manchas rojas, cabello color fantasía, párpados caídos y rock alternativo, indie o Vaporwave.

¿Qué es Vaporwave?

Vaporwave es la estética de los 90’s, un poco parecida a Tumblr pero es más antigua, ejemplo:

• Grids
• Degradados con colores fuertes
• Letras Arial, cursiva y negrita
• Esculturas griegas
• Y la más importante, música lenta como 420 Macintosh, entre otras características.

El Vaporwave es un género musical que surgió al inico de 2010 a partir de mezclar géneros de baile indie como seapunk, witch house y chillwave con estilos de otras décadas, principalmente de finales de los años 70 y los años 80 (como el funk o el New Age).

El Vaporwave es un género un poco oscuro y ocultista, algo así como el witch house.
