The difference is your attitude.
A brainwashed humanity.
I decided to take a different route today and try my best to inform you that you are utterly brainwashed. The world is slowly waking up and people and by people I mean vegans are becoming aware of this inhumane world we live in. It's not a secret that we as a society love the taste, smell and fulfillment of eating another being, but once you realize, and I mean truly realize what you are actually consuming, what destructive effects you have on the only planet we live on and what fowl act you are taking part in...you'll begin to see what we see.
Now, I want you to try and understand that this post is not about bashing meat-eaters AT ALL. This post's objective is to give you the information governments, dairy and meat industries failed to give you for countless years. From the moment you were born, this way of life was embedded deep into your morality - completely removing all that is wrong with it, making your morality "seem" like it's the "right thing" or "the way we were meant to live". I'm here to tell you, THAT IS UTTER BULLSHIT!
The animals that are well known for supplying humans with meat, dairy and eggs - such as chickens, cows, sheep and pigs are almost ALWAYS completed conscious when being murdered. Being stabbed, electrocuted and shot in the head with a bolt gun, these animals feel absolutely everything we as humans would - compassion, love and pain. So, what makes this any different from human slaughter? NOTHING. Captivation, a weapon and a live being are all present.
You have to truly ask yourself. What kind of a person am I? What moral standards am I living with? When I look at myself in the mirror, am I really a good person? You only realize what your actions and intentions are once you become informed about how falsely you've been living.
Please do yourself a HUGE favor and tap into that morality of yours and become more aware of it.
All I'm asking of you readers out there is to watch this film - EARTHLINGS and simply be informed.
Great post @whatalife. Hope you can get more people to see the world the way you do. Our planet needs it.
@expatsaloud Thank you for the comment!
Excellent and very informative post. I can only hope that some may take the message seriously and realise that eating meat is not that healthy....especially with all the growth hormones etc fed to animals and fowl.
My own health changed for the better after changing my diet to keto-vegan. Best choice ever!
upvoted cause i can tell you mean well and have an attachment to this post. but realistically consider this... the United States produces enough food annually to feed the entire globe. thanks to these mass production plants for food which are actually mostly ethical, as ethical as mass slaughter of food for the good of humans can be. the real problem lies in preserving food and distributing it. if we could solve those those two problems imagine humanity as america is able to feed the entire world, not just eliminating hunger from the United States but from the world forever. so is it wrong to sometimes mistreat our food if we can literally make sure no human ever has to know what the word hunger means. i think even most vegans would agree that scenario is acceptable. unfortunately the efficiency of the mass production of food cannot be celebrated until the majority of it is no longer wasted. points to france laws like the one France passed to outlaw food sellers from wasting edible food. as much food as the U.S. produces youd think we would be on board with that kind of thinking.
Thank you for upvoting @hellhoundz BUT the issue that you're bringing up -Yes, food transportation could solve world hunger but that's unrealistic. World hunger can be solved by simply living a vegan lifestyle. Simple as that. Plus ANIMAL AGRICULTURE is the issue here. The effects of animal agriculture are horrific. Please watch 'Cowspiracy' on Netflix and then tell me if it changed your opinion.
Actually, producing meat is one of the greatest contributors to world hunger...think about all of the land in this entire universe. The idea that there isn't enough land to support growing crops for the hungry in other countries is a joke. Majority of all of the grains in the east are actually sold to the rich in the west in order to feed the livestock that humans are consuming. If currently the U.S. produces enough food to feed the entire globe then why are so many still hungry? Yes - distribution of food is completely out of whack. But I think that starts at the source.
Also, it takes about 2500 gallons of water to produce only 1 lb of meat, which is equivalent to growing about 50 lbs of fruits and vegetables. Think about that for a second. So much water is being wasted so we can continue a very cruel and gruesome act in order for the taste palate to be satisfied for just one moment.
all very good points here kbvictor. my point was the waste really, the numbers i was going off of are almost a decade old but i can only assume weve gotten better at production not worse so... i think simple laws like france has could at least help actually put a dent in hunger even if just for those that go hungry in the u.s. (laws regarding edible food being thrown out)
Raise awareness, keep it up!
Love the vibes! Thank you @universe.laws! Namaste.
great
Thank you!
Great post! This sent a chill down my spine, just being reminded of how utterly cruel the meat industry is.
That's exactly the point. People need to be reminded because most people were born with compassion.
Thank you for the comment! @andrealeis13
Cheers to this post and to raising awareness of what it actually means to eat mindfully and morally.
100% Thank you for the great comment @shapeshifter43! Much appreciated!

A great article. I very recently was an avid consumer of meats, however as of Sunday I officially decided to no longer live a life of hypocrasy. And so far the meals I've had have been so much tastier than my last few meat meals.
Ideally I would have a fully vegan diet, sadly until I can easily replace things like dairy etc I'll only be mostly vegan.
I love your effort though. And you'll get there. Don't worry. It's a process - and it's different for everyone.
You're many steps ahead and on the right path. Going meatless is an absolutely wonderful start!
Good on you @alioops!
