There are definitely more countries with similar issues. However, Venezuela is currently suffering the most. The Organization of American States recently released as statement as the OAS Permanent Council Agrees "to not recognize the legitimacy of Nicolas Maduro's new term"

Suriname is one of the few countries to still support Maduro (well, it least our government).

$160 a month is enough in our country if you live without any form of luxury. Meaning, you life with your parents, take public transport, only drink tapwater, don't go out. A starter's salary for someone with a bachelor degree would be around $250. And of course, politicians in the House of Representatives touch around $2.000 a month. And that's one of the reasons why 60% of the workforce works for the government :(.
