A drone captures the destruction caused by the Volcan de Fuego in Guatemala
A drone has captured the magnitude of the destruction caused by the Volcán de Fuego, which erupted on Sunday in southern Guatemala.
In the images you can see streets and houses buried under the lava and mud and several people taking refuge in the roof of the houses. The recording also shows a flaming building.
The eruption of Volcán de Fuego - the second of 2018 and considered the strongest in recent years - caused the death of at least 65 people and caused serious material damage in the departments of Escuintla, Chimaltenango and Sacatepéquez, which are on red alert for the emergency.
The work of rescue of the wounded continues. At the moment, there are more than 1.7 million affected and 3,100 evacuated.
