[Adventure] - Your Dream Builder Bali 2017
Good to be back after an amazing 8 days in Bali, Indonesia.
Your Dream Builder Bali 2017 was a great escape and I enjoyed every minute of it and I am grateful to be able to experience these types of events with great people.
Highlights for me were the Balinese cooking sessions, the culture and the sunrise from Mt Batur was a MUST DO event and I would do it every day if I could.
Something special about sun gazing at that time of day.
It was indescribable by words and something I highly recommend.
See my time lapse video below however it simply does not do it justice.
We cooked, we climbed, we swam, we saw, we ate and we learnt.
I love travelling and I love exploring.
The world is an amazing place.
Your Dream Builder Bali 2017 was an amazing week full of fitness, fun, challenge and friendship.
Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, rice paddies, culture, temples, beaches, amazing food and coral reefs and we made sure we saw as much of it as possible.
This little guy was on top of Mt Batur and they were fearless as they hung onto the edge of the Volcano with little fear of falling in.
Bali
Area: 5,780 km²
Founded: 1343
Max length: 145 km
Capital: Denpasar
Population: 4.225 million (2014)
This is Monkey Forrest in Ubud where the monkeys are in the plenty and it was a great experience having this moment of connection.
They truly do love bananas.
The entire purpose of these Dream Builder events is to inspire greatness, change and to ensure great experiences are had promoting better living and mindset.
We enjoyed some sessions on positive psychology, dream building and wellness with the aim to refresh perspectives and to ensure you leave full of new inspiration and strategies for success.
Although Jo on the far left does not look impressed at the time of this photo, what we did learn from each other during this session is that we have got a variety of improvements to make across the board in our lives ranging from finances, careers, time management, life experiences and expanding our state of consciousness and knowledge.
We have some learning and changes to make and I know we all can and will do so in the coming months.
Self assessments are necessary and should be done often.
Sometimes in life you just have to take a plunge and take a risk.
It is a lot scarier to know that you may not reach your full potential in life and by taking a risk on yourself and seeking more from life itself is why we are here.
Life is a journey of discovery.
Life is about learning and knowledge and expanding our connection to the universe.
In the end, it is that simple.
Really enjoyed the Balinese cooking sessions.
I got to take some great pointers home with me as well as a great recipe book.
Cooking does take passion and when you apply yourself to it there is nothing better than home cooked food with spice.
Balinese food is the best.
We got to go to the markets and see what the inner workings of this lifestyle is all about.
Amazing experience as we collected what we needed and was give a tour and some insights into what to look for wand what foods to choose.
We also got to try some special Balinese donuts too.
On teh day we made Chicken Satay, Beef Rendang, Mei Goreng and several other traditional dishes.
We used all traditional methods of preparation including grinding stones and woks.
I really enjoyed it.
Indonesia is home to thousands of finches and I found this little guy on the ground.
He was just sitting there so I picked him up and he then just looked at me for a while before flying off.
Not sure if they are yet calling me the bird whisperer however this does seem to be a trend for me as I have had three similar experiences in the last few years.
If you are ever in doubt, don't worry, just be sexy.
The view of Mt Kintamani was quite spectacular and we enjoyed a buffet lunch with this view.
The Bintang always tastes better when in Bali.
I highly recommend taking off on adventure such as this.
The world is there to be enjoyed and nature is teh best show on earth.
Hope you enjoyed my glimpse into my adventure.
