Stuntworks #39: My Pride and Joy....

in #video7 years ago (edited)

When I started my career as a stuntman/filmmaker the last thought on my mind was that my son would follow in my footsteps. My son was a great baby. Aways slept through the night. Was always smiling and happy for the most part.

From my Little baby to young stuntman in training.

I never pushed him or asked him to train with me I did, however, expose him to my wonderful team and our private training sessions. I would always train on Wednesdays. I am divorced and Wednesday and every other weekend where my time with him.

When he was not in school I would bring him with me to the gym. He would run around doing all kinds of crazy stuff but never really took interest in what the team or I were doing. That all changed when he turned 14. On the day he just joined in, he was a natural. I was amazed how much he picked up and how quickly.

His frist union stunt job on Bluebloods at age 16.

With only a few months to go before his 18 birthday. No days he trains with me on regular bases. He is very excited to get back onset and start his career.

As a dad It makes me nervous. Stunt people do get hurt. Not so long ago a young stunt woman got serously hurt and one of my best friends got 6 of his ribs broken. I been lucky and never had a serous injury but do have a bit of wear and tear that common in stunt performers my age.

I pray I done a good job as a dad to get him ready for life, as well as his new career.

This is so cool that you and your son have something you both love doing together. Brings you guys closer together. Cycling is what me and my son do together.

Cycling is great, we got shitty bikes but we go ours for a ride from time to time. Thank you taking time to view my post. Have a wonderful day.

It makes me a little nervous too. But I'm happy to see Elvis following your footsteps. He has a lot to learn and you have a great deal to teach. You're both a success! God Bless you two.
