Indie Videogame BrainStroming #1

Hello guys,

I want to create 16-Bit indie Games, i got some ideas, but i think i need your opinion about this. As this is a Brainstroming, there are no bad ideas, just split it out.

The Idea for this first post about this matter, goes about a tactic game, where you are just a commander of an army, you are not omnicent, and you depend on your messengers to tell you about the situation in each front (this means that you can "see" the map of how is going the war, but it always going to be with some delay depending on the distance between you and each battlefield).

It would be a turn based game, so you will gave the orders to each line. Its like playing chess, but in many lines at the same time, and your opponent will take their turn at the same time as you, and then the moves are resolved.

What do you think? Is it too complicated for a game? Could it be simplified?
Or on the other hand, what ideas do you have to improve the hook of this tactical game?

Thanks.
Lets make indie Videogames Great Again! xD
