You don't need to have fear of honey bees!

Why not?

Within the last several decades the bees have been more and more domesticated by us. Sometimes there are a hive which is very aggressive then they will let you not come in the near of the hive and attack you. Walk away they will not follow you after a short distance. So no problem.

About 98 % of the hives ar very friendly. You can put the hives in the garden at your house no problem they are not interested in you. At a lot of hives you can even work without smoke. Depends on what you do and how their day was :)

At those few aggressive hives the beekeepers will change the queen. After about 4 weeks this hive will also be friendly and new hives will only be cultured from friendly queens.

This is the way how to ensure to get friendly bees.
