What is trading ?

Trading involves buying and selling stocks, commodities, currencies, bonds, options, futures contracts, etc. for profit. It is an important part of the financial markets. Many people think of trading as something that happens at the stock exchange, but it actually takes place all around us. For example, when you buy a loaf of bread at the grocery store, you're trading. When you pay for gas at the pump, you're trading. Even when you go to the bank to deposit money, you're trading. You might not realize it, but every time you trade, you're making a decision about whether to spend your money on something else or save it.

How I'll start trading ?

  1. There are many brokers out there that claim to be the best. Some are even regulated by the CFTC. However, not all brokers are created equal. Find a broker that has a solid track record and is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Corporation (CFTC).
  2. You should start small and grow your way up. You shouldn't try to make a lot of money right away.
  3. Options trading is very risky. You should never invest money you cannot afford to lose.
  4. Trade futures contracts only.
  5. You need to learn how to analyze markets and understand what you're reading.
  6. Learn about technical analysis.
  7. Read books about trading.
  8. Join forums and message boards.
  9. Get involved in social media.
  10. Have fun!
