WA State Governor Jay Inslee Enacts 2 Week Stay At Home Order

From my CoVid19 journals, yesterday Governor Jay Inslee put a 2 week stay at home order in effect. He is referring to it as "STAY HOME, STAY HEALTHY" which sounds kind like a grade school program.

Everyone I know that is still working, fell under the "essencial worker" clause, so I don't know that it changed much from the day before.

Meanwhile many are starting to worry as this is now 3 weeks of unemployment for many and Congress is busy fighting over politics instead of sending relief packages.

Personally other than staying at home, and feeling nervous about the supply chain, my life hasn't changed a lot. I already work from home, no issue for me. In addition, I am in decent health and although that is no guarantee, my odds would likely be good if I got it.

I don't want to get and I don't want to spread it, so I'll be limiting my exposure within reason. My husband is still working and if by chance he brings any germs home, that is an acceptable level of risk for me. He is doing his part to keep things moving while practicing every safety protocol.

If I had a weak immune system, I would likely have to make more difficult choices about my exposure to him. :)

How are things going for you?

Hey, @whatsup.

Not sure how it happened, but we managed here in Oregon to beat you guys to the current clampdown, even though we were behind, and still behind as far as coronavirus cases go. Since it appears that the majority of the cases in Washington are coming out of King county and the surrounding area, my guess is, where you're at will be slower to spread it regardless.

I can say the same thing for us. Only 20 cases in our county so far but probably counting as the ability to test increases, with most of those in a Veteran's home in a nearby town.

Take care and remain safe.

Minnesota’s governor keeps issuing no lockdown yet statements even though he’s self-quarantined. If our state does go that route, one or two more people might be staying with us.

I usually don't like Inslee, but I have to admit, he's been quite reasonable through this.

Work from home.. I'm not a stockpiler, so eventually if the supply chain collapses I am going to have to figure out how to forage for food..

SUrviving. not dead yet as they say..

Day 11 of so more or less of self-inflicted isolation

We both work from home, and we're both introverts at the best of times... so aside from being more mindful of keeping an adequate stock of "the basics" on hand, it's much the same. Mrs. Denmarkguy does have a compromised immune system, so that's a bit of a concern... but we're taking reasonable precautions, and I'm generally the one who does the shopping, runs to the post office, and so forth.

Sounds reasonable, take care and stay safe denmarkguy

I don't go out much either. Our Governor is pretty much taking similar actions here in Pennsylvania.

It is bad enough that we have the Moonies up-state acting crazy with their AK-47s and crowns, we have to deal with the beginnings of the Zombie Apocolypse!
