Hi @themerge. Keep at it. Post a pic or avatar on your profile. Video make it so easy. I'm not that good at writing. Blogging is not my thing. Videos people really get a feel of who you are. Good luck. Hit me up any time if you need advice or just to say hi.

The thing I don't understand is this reputation score and how we collect steem coin. I have seen some vids, but I see some people that have a dozen upvotes and have over $100 in steem. Who decides that? I have a girl that followed me today that has over 3000 followers and only 22 posts. She doesn't generate any Steem at all and her reputation score is less than mine.

Hi @themerge Your reputation starts at 25. You are at 29. The way it works; is that people with higher reputation when they upvote your post the reputation increases. It is saying people with more experience or more knowledge feel your content is good. Reputations go as high as 80. The higher the reputation, that means people trust you or think your content is really good. It is important because people see that right after your username.

When people upvote you depended how much Steem power they have you will receive Steem. The more steem power they have they more steem you get when they upvote your posts. Meaning simply the more people have the more their votes translate into more money for you if they vote for your posts.

So when someone upvotes my article that has a reputation score of 60 it carries more weight than someone with a reputation score of 25. This would insure that bots and trolls don't manipulate the system. Good idea. Thanks for the info.
