MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. Optician
    My optician laughed when I asked for kids frames; I was serious.
  2. Optometrist
    The last time I saw the optometrist, he used a machine to give my eyeballs blow jobs.
  3. Ophthalmologist
    My optometrist says I don't need the ophthalmologist for my astigmatism.
  4. Optics
    I can't wait for fiber optics to reach my area; I may finally see those lightening fast internet speeds promised after dial-up was overthrown.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

1- The optician dipped the glasses in the special hot fiber to better mold them so they could fit better on the patient's face.

2- She asked the optometrist not to put drops in her eyes before examining her eyes.

3- He was sent to the ophthalmologist to treat the cataract in his left eye.

4- In order to be a better cinematographer and lighting technician, he took an optics class.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. After I broke my glasses I went to the optometrist first to have my vision tested then the optician for a new pair.
  2. My sister went to the ophthalmologist and they prescribed laser surgery to correct her eye disorder.
  3. The optics section in our local science museum has all kinds of cool experiments around light.

  1. Optometrist.
    My optometrist examined my eyes and gave me a new prescription for my eye glasses.

  2. Optician.
    After receiving the prescription, I then handed it over to the optician next door.

  3. Ophthalmologist.
    My ophthalmologist is treating my eyes for glaucoma.

  4. Optics
    Glaucoma is a disease in which one’s eyes optic nerves get damage which can cause blurry vision and perhaps blindness if not treated soon enough.
