Steemit is the next gen social media where people are rewarded for their contribution, this lovely concept garnered a huge following and to date there are thousands of people joining steemit to be a part of this revolution.

Corruption of steemit is a potential threat to the platform in itself where value of steem gets diluted and lost in hope rises among st its users. There are people who love steemit the most, we are one of them. We want to to make it clear that we share or expose few irregularities on steemit so that we keep steemians better prepared to counter any such actions which may bring down steemit as a whole.

We ourselves have been mislead by some of our supporters who have turned out to be scam, we will not tolerate any such corruption. Voiceshares is the voice of steemit, place where you can share your stories by staying completely anonymous and this applies to corruption as well.

Let us know if you find someone polluting this amazing platform, lets bring them out in open along with substantial proofs to stop them from continuing inflicting harm on the platform. Steemit does not need detectives, but responsible steemians who do not tolerate corruption around.

It all depends on how you intend to build this platform, the more careful you become with your surroundings better it is for you with a possibility of steem value increasing. Let us not ruin what we have got let us join this revolution and fight the cause together.

The dev team clearly doesn't feel the same way... The new version of the Whitepaper states that fixing abuse should not be a big concern, because people who are abusing the system are "still putting in work", and any successful attempts should still be rewarded...

I want so badly to see a clean Steemit as well, One that operates in the manner it's supposed to. The abuse and profit gaming are going to kill our beautiful community if we're not diligent enough to stop those who are a threat to the perceived fairness of the platform.

I dont understand the logic, pitting in efforts and at the same time milking the system ... that makes no sense... I would to talk to you more behind the scenes too see if we can work together in this aspect... any small effort is still worth a try :)

I agree. I'd be more than willing to talk about what we may be able to do. You can message me in Steemit chat or discord under the same username

I just finished doing that last night with a level 38 user who was running around and copy/pasting the same comment sentence to dozens of blogs.

He was trying to get comment votes and attention the poor way. Until I started downvoting his comments, making them invisible.

The good news is that he stopped.

The bad news is I had to ask myself. The user was only level 38. ANYONE higher than level 40 could have been doing the same thing as me, and no one did. I was the only one in the last 24 hours that observed this user.

Which is sad. I think the biggest problem is the users not teaching and looking after other "new" users.

Every scammer thinks "aha! I found a way to beat the system"... until they realize there is a penalty and consequence. But you have to catch them doing bad things early in order to get them to stop.

Exactly, we come across many such instances day in and day out.... all that is required a bit of heart to consider this platform as our own and not allow such acts of bringing down the system. I am sure we are all aware of few mistakes which can be very fatal to the platform in itself, let us start addressing them... :)

You have always been a person to look upto, I am sure you will continue to do the good job... Thank you for sharing your mind here..means a lot :)

Isn't your statement a bit contradictory? How can you say-

"Steemit does not need detectives, but responsible steemians who do not tolerate corruption around."

How are you supposed to find corruption without people putting in the detective work to uncover it?

No it is not, let me explain

Finding corruption is something a responsible steemian can do, it starts from there... a detective is an altogether different concept.. My intention was to bring forward the spirit with which we have to deal with this issue. Let us not wait for detectives to expose corruption instead lets lead from the front.

yes is true

That's a great thing we should be zero tolerance to corruption as a community. Will join @voiceshares l like this 100%

Thank you, do keep an eye out for corruption :)

I agree with what @thatsweeneyguy said. We as legetimate users want to see a clean platform but it's a hard thing to acheive when development team doesn't seem concerned with the abuse that's going on.

Even they have vested interests as far as growth of platform is concerned, I hope they realize that unless they want this to be a scam..no doubt people should get what they deserve but not at the cost of platform itself :)
