Why make her look bad?
Like an errant child,
ungrowable and never learning
Like a teenager who has never handled a responsibility .

It is a false picture,
Taken from the wrong angle.
An untrue sculpture ,
Whose sculptor is biased

A distorted image
By a painter who is inherently blind
Who was taught by a teacher
Interpreting in past times.

She is growing
Yes, not fully grown
All the same, growth is occurring
Which must be acknowledged by all

Children running bare foot and unclothed
Is not all she is
Hunger, disease, pain, death
Is just a part of her story

She is made of more
Educated men and women
Doctors, lawyers, engineers and scientists
Providing services that save lives

Her children do not live on trees
Or walk without foot wears
They do not eat from the ground
Nor speak like animals

They are homo sapiens sapiens like you
Living in houses constructed by engineers
Eating food healthier than yours
Cooked in kitchens similar to yours

In the past she was backwards
And now she may still be backwards
But not as before
A change which has been neglected by them

Whether they see her as she is
Or show her as they choose
It is irrelevant
Grow she must it is her destiny

She is a rough diamond
whose edges are getting sharp
Her beauty is unfolding
She is predestined to be great!
