POVERTY: A CHOICE

This may seem very puzzling and difficult to decrypt.Many ofcourse,will be wondering how poverty would be a thing of choice.Let me throw more light of understanding,by discussing two categories of people.The contented and the dis contented. THE CONTENDED I once visited an old man who lived in a hut,very far away from where people live.This old man have lived there alone,with no wife or children and no relatives ofcourse,for almost his entire life.After having a look around his hut,i was forced to ask him question's,first,i asked him if he was not scared living alone with no relative's.He replied by say "fear is man made,and can only be man destroy".I also wanted to ask him how he earns his living,but i saw varieties of cultivated crops and snail shells around his hut. This man lacks nothing,from my assesment.the crops provide him with the food he needs to survive,and the snails serves as meat to him. This old man has no bicycle nor car,yet he was living a happy life.Most importantly,he was CONTENDED.Now the big question, is this man poor?.................. The second category of people,are the discontended. THE DISCONTENDED A man who was walking,saw a man riding a motorcycle and wish to be like him. This same man riding a motorcycle,saw a man driving in his car, also wish to own a car.again,the man who owns a car saw an aeroplane flying over his head,wish he was the one flying the aeroplane,while the pilot of the aeroplane wish to get back and spend some quality time with his family. You will agree with me that this category of people are not contended with what the have.each one of them is not settled in mind.To me,they are poor.or would you say they are rich?................. Remember this,"ONE IS ONLY POOR,ONLY IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE".because happiness is not about getting what you want all the time,its about loving what you have and being greatful for it. I BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE'S PERSPECTIVE HAVE BEEN NAVIGATED POSITIVELY.
