In the place that is known for Ife,

Quite a while truly,

There carried on a ruler, reasonable;

Her name, Moremi.

Some said she was a warrior,

Others said she was ethereal,

What some would growl rather

Was that she was royal.

Ife succeeded as a country

Under her rulership.

She alongside Oranmiyan

Ruled with learned joke.

The Igbos, a clan under Ife's home,

Conceal with weeds and seeds;

They laid holding up in the backwoods

Furthermore, wounded with their deeds.

The general population looked for adjusting,

Moremi pledged to an abettor:

A living one for the soul, Esimirin,

Should she go, see and win.

She was caught as willed

By the Igbos free to move around at will;

What a slave stunner filled;

A present implied for Zeus.

Here was a present for the position of royalty;

A tiding for his seat.

He, being amazed with her tone,

Gave away the mystery.

In the following war

Between the Igbos and Ife,

Moremi battled with verity,

Ife fought with her challenge.

It was a victory on records

The Igbos were fatal disoriented.

In spite of the fact that thousand battled with swords,

Moremi would be commended.

The fight has finished,

The end just started:

The piece of the promise said

Must not be viewed as fun.

A fat bovine filled in as a delicate,

This ask for was not fit;

Moremi words were exacting

Esimirin implied inverse.

The stream soul voiced in ocean:

'Indeed, this dairy animals is a breathing ton.

Be that as it may, Ela Oluorogbo, your as it were

Child, is a living one.

She didn't need to be

A moaning grieving mother,

For the town has swore the happiness

Of turning into her youngsters until the end of time.

At the point when her beams diminished on Ife,

After death despite everything she is known;

Her dead fragile living creature and wear

Were formed into stone.

The lesson of this story

Is that people make see

What a man will be.

Moremi is a lesson.
