Tips To Help You Answer The Question "What Do I Do With My Life?"
"I am through with schooling, now what?" This is the question many young people ask when they finish from the university and they seem confused by the outside world. If you find yourself asking this question repeatedly, don't worry, you are not alone, and it is just a phase that you will outgrow. But in the meantime, these tips will help you answer the question.
Learn a skill.
In most cases, a lot of young people get confused as to what they really want and what their purpose really is. We know that some already find their path early enough, but if you are still a little unsure, then you should learn a skill. A lot of people have found their passion by doing one thing or the other. You never can tell, you might find your path while learning a skill and putting it into good use, but you would definitely not find your purpose while sitting idle.
Leave your comfort zone.
What does it mean to leave your comfort zone? It means trying on new things that you haven't done before. If you keep recycling your ideas and doing the same things repeatedly, you become less innovative and feel a kind of void inside you. So it is better to try on new things - this challenges you better and gives you a sense of fulfillment.
Don't be scared to fail.
There's a chance that you will fail and fall at a particular time - especially if you're trying your hands on a lot of things, or if you do not have a mentor. You will feel bad, but do not let that stop you. Don't be scared of making mistakes, because they will help you learn and prepare you for the future ahead. Making certain mistakes will also help you realize the things you should do and the ones you shouldn't.
Talk to people.
Don't be scared to talk to people about your fears. If you have people you 'feel' can be of help or mentor you, it is better to open up to them and tell them you really don't know which career path to follow. They will help put you through and give you career and tips that has worked for them.
Read.
No knowledge is wasted; broaden your knowledge by reading books, articles or magazines that can help you.
I hope you find these useful.

Great advice!
It took me years to discover what I'd really like to do. I knew what I should have studied at about 30! When it was time for me to choose a profession I had no idea what I wanted from my life. So I think for most teenagers it can be difficult to choose the right path.
You're absolutely correct. A lot of people get confused along the line. It is a phase that we will all pass. Thank you for contributing.
