Cultural day is a ceremony event that is celebrated among a particular group of people who may have been constituted by different ethnic groups. Africa as whole is an entity which has enveloped different tribes and groups right from the day not dated. And by reflexive, Nigeria is composed of over 250 tribes with each endowed with traditions.

The Eggon tribe is popular with her unique shells tight to the both legs to accompany the rythm of the drum.

Based on this, higher institutions in NIGERIA celebrate cultural day pointing a day out of the student week to mark the sense of belonging to a particular cultural group. Nasarawa State College of Education, Akwanga had her cultural day this 2018 and it was colourful.

As a Yoruba guy who has lived in the south all this while, it was greatly interesting to me seeing other cultures in the country. My friends and I laughed and got the day awesome by the view and we can’t forget it. Seeing the Gbagi, Migili(koro), Mada, Eggon, Hausa/Fulani and even the Yoruba in their local attire was one thing and display of their various tradition was another, all that marked the day memorial.

Africa is culturally rich and as a response to the “Heart of Darkness” I commend the ways were before it “…Fall Apart”.
