Introducing Me - Samtola the Newbie

My name is Omopariola Samson, an upcoming political observer who believes strictly in ideology, pragmatism other than being dogmatic.

I am happy to be counted among the few youth who loves watching news and political talk show. One of the problems I figure out affecting Nigeria youth is being apolitical.

However my type of person is to correct the mind set of my fellow youth to politics, most youth thinks or has taken politics to be a dirty game which involves killings, thuggery, kidnapping some even thinks it all about involvement in secret society and rituals Which can also be traced to diabolic powers and rites, although I won't say they are wrong but the wrong perception there is that not all politician are into evil doing.

Politics is a social and a civil phenomenon that involves us directly or indirectly which is being practice almost everywhere in our day to day activities which includes the church, school, places of work, globally, e.t.c. and as a matter of fact history made us to understand the church became versatile through politics. Politics helps us to liberate ourselves and our people from unnecessary intimidation and fear. I want to categorically state that the origin of fear of domination is from the apolitical young adults who sees a group as a powerful one who looks fierce and dangerous, thereby avoiding them and surrendering there political right and power to them. As it generally said that everything that has advantages should also have disadvantages but I want the youth to look at politics in the other way round.It is imperative we get back our mandate as the leaders of tomorrow. Moreover, aside politics or political views, I am also a type of person who don't like taken things too religious, I believe i am spiritual but not to be too religious as many Christians does today.

Some Christians are too religious to speak the truth hereby putting the young adults who are ready to work for God into bondage,they become so dogmatic in issues we need don't need to hear... they start by saying" females should make intimate friend with their fellow females and not with males" to avoid sins. Excuse me, I stand to be corrected, where in the Bible does it works that way? They have made the young adults see things doctrinal in the Bible as something very hard, making Christianity too difficult for us to adhere to. Some people has made holiness an huge and risky task for us but in the real fact it is very easy through the help of the Holy Spirit. Some has seen spirituality as speaking in tongues only and they see a brother speaking in tongues, then they advice their children or make those tongues speaking brothers and example for the youth to follow, excuse me, where did JESUS teach us that? Though it a rhetorical question, but there are some religious Christians who judge you by your appearance, i.e your hairstyle, they see the guys with low cut and address them as Bro, while the see us with full hair cut and address us as baby Christians. The funniest of all is that the so called Bro are being seen in our various campuses indulging and involving themselves in exam malpractices, hypocrisy and all sought of evil. I want the youth to change this perspective with courage.

Furthermore, I am a person who brings out some potentials in someone, I don't like hearing the phrase I can't. I want to believe if you have the courage,you can do anything through Christ that strengthen you. I want to use this medium to announce to the community at large that I am new here. In conclusion, I want to believe a life has been touched through this write up, I urge you all to pick this as a challenge and work on it with courage.
