Walk With Me in Nova Scotia: Canada's Ocean Playground
Literally, It's On Our Licence Plates!
And the Plates Don't Lie...
Despite its northern location, Nova Scotia is known for having some of the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. And with 7500 km of coastline, there are a lot of beaches.
In Nova Scotia, it's impossible to be more than 67 km (42 mi) from the ocean.

Wow, you honour me, thanks so much @daveks!! <3 ~ <3 ~ <3
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...now remember, this is supposed to be Canada's best kept secret. Which so far they have been doing a great job, since we have less than a million peeps. Everyday I look at the blessing that we discovered and I think....wow. How friggin awesome is this and how smart are we really that we actually pulled this one off. You see now I have nothing left to talk about except paint that house black and get that boat. xx Great pics as always and I must come to that beach too. xx
That beach is awesome, though I would ask you to bring your little tent thing, there is NO shade there, it's crazy! This time after 3 hours I started packing up because I was wiser after our first time there when we all got burned. It's so deceptive with the ocean breeze and the water, we don't realize how much sun we're actually getting. No burns from yesterday, and no sun stroke either, but would be nice to enjoy a whole day there without worrying about that. We had the whole beach to ourselves, only one other couple there!
Boat and Black paint, let's go!
yes and we have the umbrella as well. you know the little purply thing. I also want to get one that has the screw for the ground. Yes boat and black paint. Just waiting for the ship..:)))
Hi! Congrats on being 'back in the spotlight!' I thoroughly enjoyed all the pics of Canada's ocean playground! But, have to wonder...how warm is the water really?! Haha These are beautiful images. The kittens are SO big now!! 🦀🐚🐌🐜🐱
Awww, your emojis make me smile always Jill <3
The water is beautiful, especially in the 30+ (with humidity) we have had for the last while :) A little cool getting in, but definitely no colder than the lakes I grew up swimming in, in Northern BC!
Thanks for the good vibes Angel Sis <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Lucky nice awesomesauce! My son just suggested we take a trip to the east coast so who knows what's in the works!! Life is so good ❤ i just spent last night up in Leduc with my daughter. It was the first night we'd spent together since i moved out last SEPTEMBER! I am floating on cloud 9. Lotsa love girl. Amazing blog. You're an A+ Steemian imo 🌸🌷❤🌷🌸
Wow congrats on the time spend with your daughter after so long! I'm so proud of you for sticking it out here Jill through all the ups and downs, you are Needed and I smile every time I see one of your posts.
You know you're welcome to crash here, haha!! WOOT WOOT!! What a trip that would be!!
It was so nice ❤ 15 is such a tough age for girls. Remember 🙈🙊 I never woulda stuck it out without ya girl! I genuinely enjoy the community. It's really fun to hang out here 🌸🐌🌱
What a great day Lyndsay! The water there is so different to what we have in Mediterranean. At some photos (4 - 7) it even looks like a lake to me as the water is so calm, very nice :)
Boys had lots of fun! It's a pity that you don't do swimming but I'm the same. I prefer to read a book somewhere under a tree!
Oh, and I love that there is a forest just right at the ocean, so calming!
How does it look like there during the winter time?
The ocean in our backyard is deep in a cove, and the water is always calm, as it slowly rises and sinks. If we have big storms we finally can see some waves there, but it is extremely rare.
This is what it looks like at low tide (photo from 2014):
And in the winter: (video I took in 2015)
Wow, very beautiful photo, I like your way of taking the picture, so that your photo looks very good, I really salute to people who have soul art, because the soul of art is not owned by everyone, and art has a very high price. Thanks for sharing, and wish you a wonderful day....
I wish for you to have a wonderful day as well @steemibu351! Thank you so much for visiting us.
It's so true. Lyndsay has a very beautiful way of expressing her art. I agree with you @steemibu351 she's very good at it. And, her artwork is valuable.
Oh lord! And I really love this place, such a wonderful beach that I ever seen, and the secret way to go there such an awesome journey to go to heaven place, how lucky you are live there with all of beautiful nature there😊
I feel the same way every time you take us to your beaches @neilur!
This post is not letting me miss it. I keep seeing it at the top of my feed from the group. Calling out to me. Now I've come to steemit like its magnetically telling me something. Know I can never ignore the universe it won't let me. Always follow your path. I've read and now I just want to come live in your garden. It's all I can think about. Being I live with the beach already, not such a selling point for me. But I never seen snow. If I come. Is it possible you can arrange for me to meet little kenny from the South Park movie? Only I f no one has killed him yet.
Wonderful photo shoot, again Lyndsay...The boys look so happy, and those 'babies' are still cute. What are they now; 16 weeks old? I presently have 'five', 5 week old, sweet, lovable kittens I'll be finding homes for soon. I'll probably post some pics of them.
Best Regards.
Lovely! I was just in Halifax and will certainly try to return as soon as I can!
That's awesome @simonpennon, so you are a Canuck then?
I'm not - I'm from Philly, but I'm on a bit of an adventure (and finding a lot of places I need to visit again!).
Such an abundance of nature at the seaside, just perfect for young children. Stunning pictures and maybe best keeping it a secret :)
Hey, I have just visited an old profile I started on here with and it was were I first came into contact with yourself. I thought you might like to see one of your post from 2-YEARS AGO!!.... Enjoy :)

Oooooh wow, thanks for the flashback @article61! I'm glad to see you're still STEEMin too :) Did you lose your password to your old account?
You are welcome and yes I am afraid I did. Always good to look back at where it all began. Glad to see you still here :)
