Will the US attack North Korea?

Asked by journalists whether the US will attack North Korea after its latest nuclear test, President Donald Trump responded: "We'll see". He also wrote on Twitter that the United States could break trade with states that have business with Pjongjang.
State Secretary Rex Tillerson is in talks with Asia's foreign affairs chiefs today, and US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin has earlier announced that he is preparing a new sanctions package targeting North Korea, adding that he is recommending a total blockade of trade sanctions against North Korea.
The North Korean media reported today that Pjongjang's hydrogen bomb intended for intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) was completed by Pjongjang. A few hours earlier there have been strong seismic shocks in North Korea
I like to hope that General Mattis has this under control & will keep us out of a war that would quickly become WWIII. However, even Mattis is being quoted as warning of a "massive military response". Hoping that's fear rhetoric & not a true warning.
Nuclear war would be the end of the lives of these people, and I do not think the US was able to make the decision to attack. Today a UN meeting was held. The UN Security Council met in extraordinary session on a nuclear test on Sunday by North Korea. US Ambassador to UN Nikki Haley called on the Council to exert the strongest pressure on North Korea.
I do not know if this is a threat but the situation is serious
