ILLIDAN STORMRAGE-HISTORY [LORE] PART II

in #warcraft7 years ago

Hello friends steemians lovers of the fascinating world of warcraft. I bring the continuation of the lore of one of the most important characters (and one of my favorites), I hope you like it.

Here I leave the first part if you have not read it yet:  https://steemit.com/spanish/@bluebutterfly/illidan-tempestira-historia-lore-parte-i

The well created by Illidan had been transformed into a mini well of eternity, to prevent this from causing problems as before, Malfurion together with the dragons aspects created in the same point a tree called Nordrassil, which was blessed by the dragons to bring it to life eternal for the night elves, but it also protects them from any future attack by the legion of fire.

Illidan was imprisoned for 10,000 years in a prison without light. Califax, a Keeper of the Forest, and a group of night elves including Maiev Shadowsong constantly watched the Betrayer.

For Illidan, the threat of the legion would never be extinguished, but this for many was a thing of the past, Illidan expected something that was almost inevitable. As predicted the legion of fire returned to Azeroth, but this time led by Kil'jaeden, recruiting Kel'thuzad and the prince of Lordaeron Arthas, created a new threat called plague.

The plague was an effective weapon against almost all the races of the world, and even more against the elves of the night, since their corruption destroyed their valuable forests at great speed, but this was never related to the ardent legion, until the encounter of Tyrande with one of the Legion's generals.

The freedom came from the unexpected hands of Tyrande, who killed the elven guards in the hope of using Illidan against the Legion, promised to defeat the Legion not for its people, but for the love it once had for her. Upon leaving prison, Illidan saw his brother, who still considered him a threat, but Illidan went on his way to fulfill his promise.

Illidan Stormrage: "I'm released after ten thousand years and my brother still thinks I'm a villain! I will show you my true power! I will show him that demons have no power over me!"

In Frondavil, he met Arthas, champion of the Lich King, and fought. The two were equal, Illidan stopped the duel and demanded Arthas to tell him why he had pursued him. Arthas spoke to Illidan about the Skull of Gul'dan, the demonic artifact that corrupted Frondavil. He explained that if the artifact were destroyed, the corruption of the forest would end. To ensure that Illidan would take the challenge, Arthas gave no detail of the skull's power, adding that his master knew of his thirst for power. Although Illidan did not trust Arthas, he nonetheless requested the Skull and its power. A great demonic door guarded the Skull when Illidan and his troops fought valiantly to gain access to the artifact.

Driven by necessity and influenced by the belief that with increased power, he could be forgiven by Malfurion, he destroyed the demonic seal and used the powers of the Skull for himself. The battle for control of the Skull came at a great price and the power of the device changed to Illidan.

Transformed into a demon, Illidan destroyed the lord of terror Tichondrius and his forces. But victory came hand in hand with devastation. Tyrande and Malfurion felt the demonic power within Illidan. Malfurion scolded his brother, convinced that Illidan changed his soul for more power. Enraged, Malfurion exiled Illidan from the woods. Feeling that his sacrifice and efforts were not appreciated, Illidan said "So be it ... brother," and left the lands of the night elves.

After all this the legion fell, thanks to the alliance, the horde and even the magic of the Nordrassil tree, but this victory cost eternal life to the elves of the night, as well as the burning of its Nordrassil tree.

After the defeat of the Legion, Kil'jaeden visited Illidan, who offered him the last opportunity to serve the Burning Legion. He told him to go to the Frozen Throne and destroy it. Ner'zhul had become too powerful for Kil'jaeden to control, so Illidan had to eliminate him in exchange for more power and magic than he could imagine. He gave powers to Illidan and the Orb of Kil'jaeden to help him in his task. When he took the enchanted Skull of Gul'dan, he had the wizard's bad memories, and he came up with a plan, but he would need allies to help him with his task, instead of acquiring new subordinates, he decided to seek help from the friends he already had. Illidan called the naga to the surface. The naga, formerly known as quel'dorei, servants of Azshara, were eager to avenge the elves of the night and the other races that walk the earth. Azshara sent his powerful servant, Lady Vashj, to direct those who called themselves "nagas of Illidan."

But Illidan still had to take care of the annoying Guardian, Maiev Shadowsong, she chased him all over Kalimdor. Illidan then allied himself with a group of satyrs known as Servants of Illidan and corrupted some furbolgs. Illidan went to the port of Nendis with his subordinates nagas and satyrs killing everything that crossed his path, Illidan hijacked a ship and set sail, while a group of nagas were left destroying the ships subtracting and ruining all the hopes of following him. Illidan arrived to the shores of the Abrupt Isles, in the ruins of the ancient city of Suramar (ironically, the same city where Illidan grew up) which Gul'dan and his sorcerers erected twenty years ago, and the home of the Tomb of Sargeras.

The servants of Illidan failed to destroy all the ships. Maiev and the Watchers arrived at the Broken Islands shortly after Illidan arrived, and the two forces battled around the terrain. Illidan reached the grave, and Maiev was quick to follow him. With the knowledge of Gul'dan, Illidan quickly crossed the tomb and arrived at the room where the Eye of Sargeras was. Maiev arrived when Illidan and Vashj were activating the powerful artifact, and as revenge for having him imprisoned for ten thousand years, Illidan used the Eye to tear down the tomb, and then escaped through underground tunnels that the naga had built. Illidan killed all the other Watchers including Naisha in the Tomb, but Maiev escaped with her special abilities. On the surface, Illidan and Maiev battled for supremacy while one of the Watchers was heading towards Ashenvale to bring reinforcements.

Malfurion and Tyrande arrived at the Abrupt Islands with reinforcements, while Maiev's camp was being invaded. When they counterattacked, Illidan's forces crumbled, but managed to escape before being seriously injured. Tyrande chased them out of the base, Illidan, caught her to defend herself, and then warned her not to interfere. The demon escaped to the sea again.

Illidan arrived at the shores of Lordaeron, and quickly crossed the Silver Grove to Dalaran, where Illidan began using the Eye of Sargeras, to destroy Icecrown and the Frozen Throne. But he was interrupted by Maiev and Malfurion, and the spell failed. Malfurion felt the spell tearing through the earth and concluded that it was a danger to the world and that it had to be stopped. Illidan, who was arrested by his brother, called Malfurion a fool because he was destroying the Lich King, his common enemy. Malfurion was furious at the supposed loss of Tyrande, who according to Maiev died. Illidan was heartbroken to learn that the woman he loved was dead, but Prince Kael'thas, the new ally of the night elves, said it is too early to say that she is dead.

Kael'thas explained that she was not killed by the undead as Maiev had told Malfurion, she fell into a river and was swept away by the currents. Malfurion immediately arrested the Guardian and went in search of Tyrande. Illidan requested that they accept him to help his brother find his beloved priestess. Illidan and his personal guard of nagas found Tyrande under a great attack by the forces of the undead. .Illidan and his nagas fought to catch up with Tyrande. She was taken down the river to the elven camp, and when she took her to Malfurion, she was surprised. Malfurion told Illidan that he was free to leave on the condition that he was not a danger to the night elves again. Illidan, wishing the end of the conflict with his brother and never wishing a conflict with Tyrande, accepted.
