The Dreaded Ambull - Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress
The Dreaded Ambull was only released a couple of weeks ago as an expansion to WQ: Blackstone Fortress.
The model was super fun to paint because it contains so many elements that are both easy to access and allow me to showcase a variety of different painting skills. I've included a bunch of pictures below which show my progress throughout painting.
My friends and I haven't had a chance to include this nasty bugger in our games yet though the rules for him seem pretty chaotic. Basically he will attack anything, including heroes as well as other foes. When he is 'slain' he escapes via a tunnel and has a chance to re-appear each turn.
This is what the bare plastic looked like after assembly.
Starting with some base-coat colors. I had to apply two layers of most of these, typically this is the most tedious part when painting large models.
Details starting to pop after applying some washes over the base colors.
Working on layering the skin.
Skin finished as well as the glowing bits. Have also started layering the carapace here.
Finished off the model with further highlights to the carapace as well as doing the tusks and other small features on the model.

Nice work.
Do you buy the model oris it printed by yourself in 3D printer?
How long does it take to have one of this finished? (the coloring process)
Apologies in advance for the spam, I assure you, it's for a good cause. I gave you a tiny ass vote, you won't notice it, but, I did.
