When I was first starting out as an artist back about 50 years ago I asked Knox Martin an already established artist in NYC what should I do to "make it" as an artist and his reply was "help others"! I figured out a way to do just that . I had a background in printmaking and I opened up a small shop in LA where I lived then, where I helped other artists make etchings. I spent the next 25 years growing my Atelier Royce. During that time many opportunities came along for me not only to do my art and expand on it but to exhibit etc. Long story short, I made my "day job" art related which kept my hand in and also gave me opportunity to create art.
Yes! I have been painting quite a lot over the last several years and I also play the guitar all the time. I will be posting some of the paintings soon. Oh well, how about now. Just for you! It's called "Shakti" (C)Richard Royce2017
