10% Own 90% of the Wealth... But That's OK... The Future Is Different

in #wealth5 years ago

Looking at many metrics show that the little guy is getting squeezed more and more.

Headlines such as 10% of the people own 90% of the wealth
or the 1% own as much as the bottom 50%...

This comes from land being tied up in the strongest hands instead of being given out to each new generation. (Yes, when a person comes of age, they should be given a plot of land by the community)

However, do not fret over these statistics, because the world has been turned on its head.

What was once wealth will cease to be, and what was thought of as trash will become wealth.

Take for instance all the most expensive property.
Almost all of it will soon be unlivable.

Storms, earthquakes, acts of God on both coasts will reduce those million dollar mansions to uninhabitable lumps.

Further, with the coming mortgage crisis, most banks will close. The idea of getting a loan to buy a house will become things for the story books.

House prices will plummet.

And the property we consider dirt cheap because of its remoteness, will become the best places with the advent of being able to produce power and water wherever you are.

  • Gold
  • Stocks
  • Bonds
  • Real Estate
  • Fancy Cars
  • Hot Babes :-p

These will all become worthless.
What is a fancy car worth when the roads are at best filled with potholes and you need an all terrain vehicle to go anywhere?

Stocks don't exist. Unless you have had them transferred to you hand and registered with the corporation, you own nothing but a promise, on a promise, on a promise, of a promise to get you that stock at a certain price.

See my other blogs for what will happen to gold.

This is to say, that everything the rich use to count how much wealth they have is about to evaporate.

Growing food will be far more important than any of these.

Having a woman who is good at raising and TEACHING a new generation is essential. A good body and a degree in Women's Studies (and a mountain of student loan debt) will not cut it in the near future.

So, do not despair at the wealth inequality.
We are about to enter the greatest wealth transfer in history.

Eesh, i don’t know if freedom is worth that heavy price...
Although I am pretty excited about property finally becoming affordable, I missed out on my coming of age plot.

Choosing freedom.... She said, "you expect me to cook?" "Yes," i replied, "and can"... never saw her again.

If only i was happy being a cancer research doctor. (or an investment banker)

I too have missed out on the coming of age plot. It is a real crime to me that we shove a kid out into the world and say, afford your own home... If they are to be truly part of the community, the community should make space for them.
