Distinguishing a fake message from an ordinary lie is much more difficult, as it disguises itself as the truth

Modern media offer a huge amount of information. It is almost impossible to measure the amount of false information: fakes have replaced pure lies. At the same time, the number of messages aimed not at informing, but at attracting attention is growing. This directly affects the consumption of content - instead of information, people perceive advertising of events, politicians and their interests.

Trusting fakes can lead to wrong steps. The problem is that distinguishing a fake message from an ordinary lie is much more difficult, since it disguises itself as the truth. The uncontrolled spread of fake news carries the danger of destructive power, it sows panic, makes society look for false enemies, incites destructive actions and unrest, destabilizes society, creates feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. Their special influence extends to the information security of the state.

In addition, information technology has provided new, broad opportunities for influencing a mass audience. Neural networks and artificial intelligence help to collect and analyze data arrays, predict communications, synthesize content, and influence people's opinions and behavior.

Thus, the traditional way of verifying online content, i.e. through "manual" knowledge-based fact checking, becomes difficult or almost impossible due to the vast amount of information that is created online and spreads rapidly. This is especially evident in the case of social networks, where users can freely share content that can go viral in just a few hours. Thus, there is a need to evaluate information on the virality of a huge amount of data in a limited time mode.

And this is where the Exorde protocol can help. Exorde is built around a core platform that provides unbiased credibility scores for information (and virality-related analytics) based on the community, AI modules, and a token-based economy.

Exorde uses an open source decentralized protocol to collect data from around the world. The project is based on the idea of decentralization, which guarantees data neutrality and transparency. Exorde aims to extract and sell brand/cryptocurrency/share reputation scores based on what people say on social media.

Exorde receives input URLs for public information such as social media posts, press articles, photos, and videos. These URLs are then processed in a decentralized data pipeline that produces output graphs linking all similar data and facts. The analyzed content is stored in an archive that has open access, so any person can access the original information at any time and from anywhere in the world.

Exorde is run by its DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) and uses community votes and polls. Management will be decentralized among all members of the community. Collectively, they will be able to change the internal rules and parameters of the systems (rewards, limits, delays, scheduling, etc.) and will have a built-in reputation system. These mechanisms are designed to continually align the interests of the community and its governance for the benefit of Exorde.

I hope that Exorde will give us the tools to help identify and prevent various types of mass consciousness manipulation. After all, making changes to the neural network and finding these changes is much easier than changing human thinking. But it may also happen that perhaps the only way to stop the flow of disinformation is to take all the news critically.
